 Roan Mountain Bed and Breakfast is a rambling, converted log home on 121 acres of rugged mountainside. Sit on the front porch, gaze across Doe River, and take in the beauty of the Appalachians. Relax on the back porch, keeping an eye peeled for deer and rabbits at close of day. Sit and read in our Chestnut Orchard. Hike one of the trails above the house or wade in a river at the bottom of the hill. Enjoy the nearby Western North Carolina High Country. Take in a race at Bristol International Speedway, enjoy a winter holiday at Beech or Sugar Mountain Ski Resorts, or drive to the top of "The Roan," one of the most magnificent natural wonders in eastern America. Be our guest for a day or a week-and you might want to stay a year.

A full mountain breakfast is served in summer, weekends, and race weeks.  Since Ann is a teacher in addition to innkeeping, a plentiful breakfast basket or rate discount is provided during the school year.
